About the event
“From giving comes wealth,
From discipline comes happiness,
From patience come attractive forms,
From effort comes the fulfillment of wishes,
From concentration comes peace,
And from wisdom comes liberation.” - Nagarjuna, Precious Garland
The “six perfections” of giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration, and wisdom have been extensively explained by all great Mahayana Buddhist masters all the way back to Buddha himself. These practices transcend time and place, and are just as relevant for us today as they were centuries ago. They reveal how we too can live our best life, ripening and liberating our Buddha nature, and attaining enlightenment for the benefit of others, even in these modern times.
These classes will include explanations of each of these six practices, indicating how we can practically apply them in meditation as well as in daily life.
