Gen Kelsang Norbu
Resident Teacher
Gen Norbu was ordained in 2006 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, and was requested by him to be the Resident Teacher of KMC North Carolina. He earned the title "Gen" in 2012, indicating that he is a senior ordained teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition of modern Buddhism.
Gen Norbu is known for his loving and gentle nature and holds a very clear and sharp understanding of Buddha’s teachings. Through his teachings and his personal example, Gen Norbu shows us how to integrate Buddha's teachings into our daily life.
Gen Kelsang Tabkay

Gen Kelsang Tabkay has been a practitioner of Kadampa Buddhism and student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 18 years. Ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2013, he has previously served as Resident Teacher of KMC South Carolina and KMC Phoenix, and guided many retreats at International Kadampa Retreat Center Grand Canyon. He is known for giving accessible and practical teachings, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others. He is currently education program coordinator of KMC North Carolina. Gen Tabkay teaches the Wednesday night class and some Saturday retreats.
Johanna Agathon

Johanna Agathon has been attending Kadampa Meditation Center North Carolina since 2019, and is a student in our Foundation Program intermediate-level book study class. Originally from Colombia, Johanna’s teachings are clear and her presentation is easy to follow.
Fariba Homesley
Branch Teacher
Fariba Homesley received her first Kadampa Dharma teaching in 2006 from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche at the International Fall Festival. She then began regular studies at KMC North Carolina. Originally from Iran, Fariba's nature is kind, her understanding of the teachings is good, and her presentation is clear.
