“When a mother sees her child throwing a tantrum, she knows that the child is acting in a deluded way, but this does not diminish her love for him or her.” - Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, How to Transform Your Life

Do you have people in your life who you find difficult to work with? Sometimes, if we can find a way to see the good in such people, we can bring out the best in them, and our relationships with them can become quite rewarding. We can do this by seeing beyond people’s delusions and relating to their pure nature, their Buddha nature. At the very least, patience always solves our inner problems, but often it solves problems between people as well.

In this introductory retreat, our Resident Teacher, Gen Norbu, will share traditional Buddhist teachings on how to accept people with loving kindness and compassion, while still having appropriate boundaries. The sessions will also include basic meditations as well as specific meditations on the teachings.
