About the event

Generally, death is something that happens to other people. If we ever contemplate our own death it is something that is far off in the future, implying that we have lots of time to really think about how we live our life and how we can find more happiness, peace, and less stress and anxiety.

But death is certain and in reality, none of us know when it will occur. Any given day could be the day that we die. The great tragedy is not that we die, but that we die with a mind full of regrets for an unfulfilled life of little meaning.

If you meditate on the possibility of Death each day then you will be more likely to make that day meaningful in terms of how you think and act throughout the day. You will give yourself an incentive to do things that are the real source of joy, happiness and peace. You will become less angry and obsessed with the external world, and become more loving and considerate to those around you. Over time all your relationships will improve, and when you eventually die you will have few if any regrets. You will have enjoyed your life.

In this 1/2 day workshop, Gen Tilopa will explain how thinking and meditating on death improves our life and strengthens our practice of Dharma. We can then look forward to a life of great joy and meaning.

The cost of the workshop is $30 for non-members. Discounts applicable for members
