“Going for refuge signifies our determination to turn away from the endless cycle of confusion and dissatisfaction that has marked our life and towards a saner, more wholesome way of living.” - Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
In Buddhist meditation, we learn simple techniques for controlling our mind and making it more peaceful, but we also learn how to maintain that peace as a way of life.
In this retreat, we will focus on turning away from negative thoughts that take us in the wrong direction, and developing confidence in our own potential to become the person we want to be. For those who wish to take Buddhist Refuge Vows, there will be an open ceremony on Saturday afternoon.
