“If we really want pure and everlasting happiness and freedom from misery, we must learn to control our mind, principally our desire.” – How to Transform Your Life, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Every living being has the same basic wish – to be happy and avoid suffering. Although all living beings have the same basic wish to be happy all the time, very few people understand the real causes of happiness. Happiness and suffering are states of mind, and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind. If we want to be truly happy and free from suffering, we must learn how to control our mind, principally our desire.

In these classes, our Resident Teacher, Gen Norbu, will introduce the basic Buddhist teachings and meditations for inner peace, understanding death, rebirth, and karma. Start at the beginning of the series if you can, but if you cannot then start when you are able.
