One of the greatest acts of kindness that we can show someone is to help them to die peacefully and with a virtuous mind.” - Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully

We are alive, therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet very few of us have really come to terms with this fact. Just as it is true for us, so it is true for others, including our family members, those we love, our friends and our enemies.

This retreat will focus on understanding the process of death and how to help those who are going through that process. By doing this, we will also be preparing ourself for our own death. Gen Norbu will share from his own experience of being with people, animals, and family members before, during, and after the time of death.
