“Whenever we meditate, we are performing an action or karma that causes us to experience peace of mind in the future.” - Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Modern Buddhism
We all want to be free from anxiety, depression, anger, and all suffering. Unfortunately, we still run straight towards the causes of suffering and problems. This is because we are not clear enough about which actions and states of mind cause suffering, and which cause happiness.
In these classes, Gen Norbu and Fariba Homesley will introduce the basic Buddhist meditations that form the foundation of the path to enlightenment. In them, we will learn how to look at our life, death, and this impure world in a way that will lead to real inner peace, joy, compassion and wisdom.
