About the event
“Make effort to destroy the cycle of suffering. Enter the path to liberation. Abandon all delusions and learn to cherish others.” - The Wheel of Life, quoted in Joyful Path of Good Fortune, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
The Wheel of Life is one of the most well-known and symbolic works of Buddhist art. Other works of art may hold our attention for some time, and they may make the artist famous and the art dealers rich, but they cannot communicate so vast and profound a meaning to those who behold and meditate upon them. In this special social event, our Resident Teacher, Gen Norbu, will introduce The Wheel of Life, bringing out several details that are especially powerful to understand and meditate on.
Following this, there will be a vegetarian potluck dinner, and we will watch a movie based on the play The Wheel of Life which was performed live at the International Kadampa Fall Festival in Paris in 2008.
