Avalokiteshvara Blessing Empowerment: The Buddha of Compassion
November 22-23
(see schedule below)
at Kadampa Meditation Center North Carolina
(528 East Blvd. Charlotte)

An empowerment is a very special blessing ceremony that functions to heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature. Each empowerment introduces us to a particular enlightened Deity, their meditations and mantras. The particular enlightened Deity to which we will be introduced in this empowerment is Avalokiteshvara. Avalokiteshvara is an enlightened being who is the manifestation of the compassion of all Buddhas; the compassion of all Buddhas appears as Avalokiteshvara. He is the synthesis of all Buddhas.
If we rely sincerely upon Avalokiteshvara and recite his mantra with strong faith, temporarily we will improve our realizations of the stages of the path, especially our realization of great compassion, and ultimately we will attain supreme Buddhahood in Avalokiteshvara’s Pure Land, the Pure Land of Bliss.

“O Arya Avalokiteshvara, Treasury of Compassion, and all your retinue, please listen to me. Please quickly release me and all my mothers and fathers, the six classes of living being, from the ocean of samsara.” - Avalokiteshvara Sadhana
